Call For Papers

First International Workshop on Metacomputation in Russia (Meta 2008)

The Metacomputation Workshop aims to bring together researchers working in the areas of program analysis and program manipulation based on metacomputation, in particular, supercompilation, distillation, mixed computation, generalized partial computation and partial evaluation.

The 2008 Metacomputation workshop will be based on a broad interpretation of semantics-based program manipulation.

The proceedings will be published at a local publishing house before the workshop. They are also going to be made accessible in electronic form via Internet.

Topics of interest for Meta 2008 include, but are not limited to:

  • Supercompilation
  • Distillation
  • Mixed computation
  • Generalized partial computation
  • Partial evaluation
  • Program inversion
  • Program verification techniques including proofs or testing
  • Techniques that treat programs/models as data objects
  • Tool descriptions and experience reports on the above techniques
  • Case studies

IMPORTANT DATES

May 15, 2008: Paper submission deadline
May 22, 2008: Acceptance notification
May 31, 2008: Camera-ready version for pre-proceedings
July 2-5, 2008: Workshop

SUBMISSIONS

Submissions should describe previously unpublished work (completed or in progress), including descriptions of research, tools, applications, practical experience, ideas, concepts, and discussion topics. They should be submitted both as LaTeX-source files and PDF files by 15 May. Final papers are to be prepared in LaTeX in LNCS format following the Springer LNCS guidelines.

Visa Support

Please, take into account, that the preparation of the visa supporting letter (including its processing in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair) might take 2 months and even more. Thus, we need to start the preparation as soon as possible.

If you intend make a contribution to the workshop or attend to the workshop, please, do not hesitate immediately to start the visa procedure and to contact us for any information you might need.
