The International Workshop on Metacomputation in Russia will be held 2-5 July 2008 at an ancient Russian city Pereslavl-Zalessky, on the bank of Pleschcheevo lake, in Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The city Pereslavl-Zalessky belongs to the Golden Ring of the historical sites of Russia. The Metacomputation Workshop aims to bring together researchers working in the areas of program analysis and program manipulation based on metacomputation; in particular, supercompilation, distillation, mixed computation, generalized partial computation and partial evaluation. The 2008 Metacomputation workshop will be based on a broad interpretation of semantics-based program manipulation. The proceedings will be published at a local publishing house before the workshop. They are also going to be made accessible in electronic form via Internet. Honorary Chairman V.F.
